What is the Clubgrants Category 3 Infrastructure Grants (CCIG)?
The NSW Government has opened the 2026–27 Clubgrants Category 3 Infrastructure Grants, delivering funding for capital infrastructure projects that strengthen communities across New South Wales.
Administered by the Office of Responsible Gambling, the program reinvests gaming machine profits into infrastructure that improves community wellbeing, participation, resilience and inclusion.
Funding is available across four streams:
- Arts and Culture
- Community Infrastructure
- Disaster Readiness
- Sport and Recreation
The program supports projects that benefit disadvantaged communities, including regional, remote and drought-affected areas, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, people with disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, and disaster-affected communities.
Clubgrants Category 3 Infrastructure Grants level of support
Funding is available under four infrastructure streams:
- Arts and Culture: $50,000 to $300,000
- Community Infrastructure: $50,000 to $300,000
- Disaster Readiness: $50,000 to $300,000
- Sport and Recreation: $50,000 to $300,000
Co-contribution
- No co-contribution is required for eligible not-for-profit organisations.
- Local councils must provide a cash contribution equal to the amount of funding requested (1:1 cash match).

The program aims to:
- Support the construction, renovation, alteration, completion and fit-out of community infrastructure.
- Improve infrastructure that benefits disadvantaged NSW communities.
- Strengthen community participation, inclusion and resilience.
- Deliver long-term community benefits across arts and culture, community infrastructure, disaster readiness, and sport and recreation.
- Improve infrastructure in regional, remote, drought-affected and disaster-affected communities, as well as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, culturally and linguistically diverse, and disability communities.
Projects eligible for Clubgrants Category 3 Infrastructure Grants support
Funding may support projects including:
- Construction, renovation, alteration, completion and fit-out of community infrastructure.
- Purchase of capital equipment directly related to infrastructure projects.
- Professional design and project delivery costs (such as engineering, architecture and project management).

Projects must generally be infrastructure that is accessible and available to the public most of the time.
Funding is not available for:
- Day-to-day operational activities.
- Existing services already underway.
- Projects commenced before funding decisions are made.
- Projects producing commercial benefits.
- Recurring services previously funded.
- Projects outside NSW or those that do not benefit NSW communities.

Organisations eligible for Clubgrants Category 3 Infrastructure Grants support
Applicants must:
- Be an eligible not-for-profit organisation responsible for operating and/or maintaining the infrastructure.
- Be a local council applying for infrastructure it owns and manages.
- Be a school where the infrastructure is accessible to the public outside school hours.
Local councils must provide a 1:1 cash contribution equal to the grant amount requested.
Individuals and organisations that may receive commercial gain from the project are not eligible.
Clubgrants Category 3 Infrastructure Grants assessment criteria
All eligible applications are assessed against four core criteria:
1. Merit
- Alignment with a clear community vision
- Tangible public or social benefit
- Introduction or enhancement of high-use infrastructure
- Measurable outcomes and evaluation strategies
2. Engagement
- Ongoing community and stakeholder involvement
- Responsive to identified needs of the target groups
- Support for volunteers and/or local employment
3. Viability
- Sound planning, project management, and risk mitigation
- Realistic timelines (project completion within two years)
- Demonstrated financial and governance capacity
- Strategic partnerships and long-term operational planning
4. Budget
- Accurate and itemised financial plan
- Realistic costs with quotes and insurance included
- Demonstrates value for public investment
- Encourages co-funding and includes a contingency allowance
