The Industrial Transformation Research Program (ITRP), under the Australian Research Council’s Linkage Program, is designed to encourage collaboration between university-based researchers and industry partners.
The goal is to tackle strategic national priorities, transform Australian industries, and drive innovation. Two key funding opportunities are available under this program for 2025:
- Industrial Transformation Research Hubs (ITRH)
- Industrial Transformation Training Centres (ITTC)
ITRP level of support
The ITRP provides significant funding for cutting-edge research and training projects that align with Australia’s key industrial transformation priorities. Here’s a breakdown of the funding opportunities:
- Industrial Transformation Research Hubs: $500,000 to $1,000,000 annually for 3 to 5 years.
- Industrial Transformation Training Centres: $650,000 to $1,000,000 annually for the first 3 years, with funding of up to $1,000,000 in the 4th and 5th years.
Co-contribution Requirement:
- Each Partner Organisation must make a cash or in-kind contribution to match or exceed the ARC funding.
- For larger organisations (more than 100 employees), the minimum cash contribution is 75% of the ARC funding requested.
