What is the METS Collaborative Project Fund (MCPF)?
The Queensland METS (Mining Equipment, Technology and Services) Collaborative Project Fund is a state initiative designed to boost innovation and collaboration within the METS and resources sectors. With an investment of $2.67 million, the fund encourages industry partners to reduce investment risks and tackle the pressing environmental and safety challenges facing the sector.
MCPF level of support
The fund provides grant assistance ranging from $50,000 to $300,000 per project, covering up to 50% of total eligible project costs.

The Queensland METS Collaborative Project Fund aims to:
- Improve environmental outcomes and safety in the resources sector.
- Foster innovation and collaboration to tackle emerging priorities.
- Enable Queensland’s METS companies to capitalize on commercial opportunities and enhance competitiveness.
Projects eligible for MCPF support
Eligible projects must demonstrate a commercial or operational benefit for the resources industry, align with the fund’s objectives, and be capable of completion within 18 months of the project funding agreement’s execution. Projects that have already commenced or are routine operations will not qualify.

- Legal entities with an active Australian Business Number (ABN).
- Entities registered for Goods and Services Tax (GST) with a significant operational presence in Queensland.

How do I get the MCPF?
Applicants must:
- Read and understand the guidelines.
- Ensure eligibility for the funding. Applicants that do not meet all the eligibility criteria will not be considered.
- Deliver the project as outlined in the application.
- Provide complete information requirements.
