What is the Health and Wellbeing Queensland?
Health and Wellbeing Queensland (HWQld) is the stateโs dedicated prevention agency focused on creating a healthier and fairer Queensland. Established to address the rising burden of preventable chronic diseases, HWQld works collaboratively with communities, government, and service providers to improve population health through practical, evidence-informed initiatives.
HWQldโs strategic focus prioritises reducing health inequities, improving access to health resources, and fostering long-term wellbeing outcomes, especially for vulnerable and at-risk populations.
Through funding initiatives, HWQld supports grassroots projects that promote healthy eating, physical activity, sleep quality, mental and emotional wellbeing, and health equity across Queensland.
