Health and Wellbeing Queensland Grant Programs

Grant programs to support and empower healthier communities in Queensland through sustainable local initiatives that boost nutrition, activity, sleep, wellbeing and equity for priority groups.

What is the Health and Wellbeing Queensland?

Health and Wellbeing Queensland (HWQld) is the stateโ€™s dedicated prevention agency focused on creating a healthier and fairer Queensland. Established to address the rising burden of preventable chronic diseases, HWQld works collaboratively with communities, government, and service providers to improve population health through practical, evidence-informed initiatives.

HWQldโ€™s strategic focus prioritises reducing health inequities, improving access to health resources, and fostering long-term wellbeing outcomes, especially for vulnerable and at-risk populations.

Through funding initiatives, HWQld supports grassroots projects that promote healthy eating, physical activity, sleep quality, mental and emotional wellbeing, and health equity across Queensland.
