What is the Creative Futures Fund (CFF)?
The Creative Futures Fund (CFF) is an initiative by Creative Australia designed to support the creation and sharing of uniquely Australian stories across all art forms. This fund is part of the National Cultural Policy – Revive and aims to foster innovation, build robust partnerships, and drive engagement within the creative sector.
CFF level of support
The Creative Futures Fund offers two levels of support:
- Development Investment: Ranges from $50,000 to $250,000. This stream supports the development of new ideas, adaptation of existing works, and market testing.
- Delivery Investment: Ranges from $250,000 to $1,500,000. This stream focuses on delivering new works, building partnerships, securing co-investment, and achieving impact.

Organisations eligible for CFF support
Eligible applicants include:
- Non-Government entities
- Community Groups
- Businesses
- Other legally constituted organisations
- Sole traders, unincorporated groups, and partnerships are not eligible.

CFF assessment criteria
Applications will be prioritised based on:
- Genuine and robust partnerships with artists and creative workers.
- Demonstrating how the investment will leverage other sources of income.
- Creating new connections and partnerships across sectors.
- Supporting genuine innovation for artists, audiences, and communities.

How do I get the CFF?
Applicants must:
- Read and understand the guidelines.
- Ensure eligibility for the funding. Applicants that do not meet all the eligibility criteria will not be considered.
- Deliver the project as outlined in the application.
- Provide complete information requirements.

- Details about your project and how it aligns with the fund’s objectives.
- Information about partnerships and collaborations.
- Budget and financial planning, showing potential leveraging of other income sources.

Applying for the CFF
To apply for the CFF, organisations must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI). Selected EOIs will be invited to submit a full application.
