What is the Horticulture Netting Infrastructure Grants (HNIG)?
The Horticultural Netting Infrastructure Grants (HNIG) is an initiative by the Government of South Australia aimed at supporting primary producers of horticultural crops. This program provides grants for the purchase and installation of new netting or the replacement of damaged netting to protect crops from extreme weather and predators, enhance productivity, and improve water use efficiency.
HNIG level of support
The program offers grant funding for up to 50% of the total project costs, with a maximum grant of $300,000 (excluding GST). This funding is intended to assist with the costs of purchasing and installing protective netting and associated support structures.
