What is the Collaborative Development Program (CDP)?
The Collaborative Development Program (CDP), initiated by the Queensland Government as part of the Queensland Resources Industry Development Plan, aims to boost the extraction and reprocessing of critical minerals from mine waste. This innovative program supports projects that focus on secondary prospectivityโleveraging existing mine waste to extract valuable minerals that support Queensland’s economic growth and environmental sustainability.
CDP level of support
The CDP offers substantial financial backing, providing up to $100,000 per project (excluding GST). This merit-based program focuses on reimbursing eligible expenses that directly contribute to the project goals. Notably, there is no requirement for co-funding, allowing applicants to focus on project execution without the burden of additional financial sourcing.
CDP important dates
The CDP is an ongoing initiative open until June 2027, or until funds are fully allocated. It is crucial for prospective applicants to monitor the program timeline and submit their applications well before the fund exhaustion or closing date.
