What is the RACQ Foundation Community Grant (RFCG)?
The RACQ Foundation Community Grant Program is designed to assist community groups, charities, and sporting clubs in Queensland that have been impacted by natural disasters such as cyclones, severe storms, bushfires, and drought. This program provides crucial funding to help rebuild and recover, ensuring that affected communities can restore and thrive.
There are two grants available:
- Resilience Grant – helps Queensland community organisations and clubs recover from severe weather events and supports preparedness through building natural disaster resilience.
- Recovery Grant – helps impacted community groups recover from flooding, weather events, drought, bushfire and other natural disasters.
RFCG level of support
- Grants of up to $50,000 are available. In exceptional circumstances, grants of up to $100,000 may be considered.
- Applicants can receive a grant once every 12 months.

- Costs incurred for cleaning and restoration of property.
- Disaster mitigation works as part of an overall project.

Organisations eligible for RFCG support
To be eligible for funding, your organisation must meet the following criteria:
- Be a small to medium community organisation, charity, or an organisation with a charitable purpose.
- The project must benefit Queenslanders significantly affected by natural disasters or aim to prevent such events’ negative impacts.
- The project must be completed within 12 months of grant approval.
Eligible applicants include:
- Non-Government Organisations
- Educational Institutions
- Health Organisations
- Community Groups
- Sporting Clubs
RFCG assessment criteria
Proposals will be evaluated based on their alignment with the program’s objectives and the potential positive impact on the community. Consideration will be given to the project’s feasibility and the organisation’s capacity to complete it within the specified timeframe.

Applicants must:
