  • Minimum grant amount: $2 million

Resilient Landscapes Program objectives

The key objective of the Resilient Landscapes Program is to build resilience to drought and climate conditions across agricultural landscapes by implementing and scaling transformative practices, technologies, or approaches. These projects should:

  • Improve landscape function and ecosystem services that support agricultural productivity.
  • Help farmers identify critical tipping points in their natural resources and create strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Engage communities through learning opportunities such as field days, demonstrations, and case studies.

Projects eligible for Resilient Landscapes Program support

Eligible projects must focus on achieving large-scale, transformational change across agricultural landscapes. Activities should directly relate to improving drought and climate resilience through:

  • Enhanced natural capital management (soil, water, biodiversity) on farms.
  • Scenario planning to identify landscape tipping points and create strategies for resilience.
  • Demonstrating innovative, high-impact practices, technologies, or approaches.

Ineligible expenditure:

  • Activities funded under other government programs.
  • Payment of salaries not directly related to the project.
  • Commercial operations and activities designed for revenue generation.
  • Purchase of land or large infrastructure exceeding 20% of the grant.
  • Costs incurred prior to the execution of the grant agreement.
  • Overseas travel or expenses.

See the guidelines for full details of projects eligible for RLP support.
