What is the Fund for Women?
The L’Oréal Fund for Women provides crucial support to grassroots organisations actively working to help women and girls break the cycle of poverty, prevent domestic, sexual, and gender-based violence, and empower them through social and professional integration and education. The Fund specifically prioritises projects supporting refugee women and women with disabilities.
Fund for Women level of support
- Minimum funding amount: From approximately AUD $8,200 (€5,000)
- Maximum funding amount: Up to AUD $492,000 (€300,000), depending on current exchange rates.
Note: The amount requested must not exceed 30% of your organisation’s annual budget (for structural financial support) or 30% of your specific project’s budget (for project-based financial support).
Co-contribution Requirement:
Organisations must demonstrate they have secured or applied for additional funding from other sources. While there is no specified minimum co-contribution percentage, diversified funding sources must be clearly shown.

Projects and expenditure eligible for Fund for Women support
Eligible projects must directly assist women and girls experiencing vulnerabilities such as:
- Financial hardship (low or no income, homelessness, single-parent families)
- Geographical isolation (rural or regional communities)
- Victims of violence
- Refugee women
- Women and girls living with disabilities
Projects can involve specific initiatives or structural support if the organisation exclusively supports women and girls. Organisations serving broader audiences can apply for specific project support only.
Ineligible expenditure:
- Advocacy activities
- Construction or renovation projects
- Supply funding
- Activities that violate international human rights, labour laws, environmental standards, or involve discriminatory practices

- Grassroots non-profit or not-for-profit organisations working for the public good
- Organisations authorised to issue tax receipts (applicable in France and the EU)
