The primary objective of the Accelerator Grants is to fund projects that enhance the aged care workforce’s efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring that specialist care and support are available across wider geographic areas, especially where access to skilled professionals is limited.

Projects and expenditure eligible for Aged Care Collaborative – Accelerator Grant support

Eligible projects must utilise proven approaches and technologies in new settings or with different groups of care recipients to demonstrate scalability and transferability.

Ineligible expenditures include capital costs, ‘business as usual’ activities, and organisational overheads such as rent or property fees.

To apply, organisations must include both an aged care provider and a research institution, highlighting the collaborative nature of the proposed projects. These projects should focus on augmenting the workforce to address skills shortages and improve service delivery across the aged care sector.
